Courageous Kidz , a state-chartered nonprofit enterprise, provides a safe haven for kids with cancer as well as support for the entire family. Using an individualized case-by-case integrated approach, we provide additional support wherever it is most needed in the child’s life – during treatment and after treatment. We also counsel and assist families who have lost their battle with cancer.
Our main focus at present is providing support activities and events to help all affected by this terrible disease. Our children and family activities include Dayz of Magic, Generation CK, Fun-tastic Family Reunion, Thanksgiving Bountiful Feast, Holiday Fun-union, Cookie-Rama, Healing Hearts Moms Weekend, and Myrtle Beach Escape.
In more than 35 states in the U.S., and also in Australia and Canada, there are “cancer kid camps” bringing hope and happiness to many cancer-stricken children. These camps allow children and families to escape from the trauma of hospital stays and aggressive medical treatments. We hope to provide such a camp in the future.
The Board of Directors is proud to be part of this important and wonderful initiative, and to be volunteers in Courageous Kidz.
